Our Profile

The energy challenge,

We are facing a global energy challenge: the demand for energy is rising and conventional energy resources are declining. At the same time, the use of fossil fuels threatens the climate. Therefore, the world is re-thinking its energy future. No other source of energy can match wind power ?from both financial and environmental perspectives ?so there is good reason to believe that wind power will be given a key role to play in the energy mix of the future.

Renewable energy is generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat, which are renewable (naturally replenished).

New renewable (small hydro, modern biomass, wind, solar, geothermal, and biofuels) accounted for 2.4% and are growing very rapidly. The share of renewable in electricity generation is around 18%, with 15% of global electricity coming from hydroelectricity and 3.4% from new renewable.

Wind power is growing at the rate of 30% annually, with a worldwide installed capacity of 121,000 megawatts (MW) in 2008.

Globally, the long-term technical potential of wind energy is believed to be five times total current global energy production, or 40 times current electricity demand. This could require large amounts of land to be used for wind turbines, particularly in areas of higher wind resources. Offshore resources experience mean wind speeds of ~90% greater than that of land, so offshore resources could contribute substantially more energy. This number could also increase with higher altitude ground-based or airborne wind turbines.

Wind power is renewable and produces no greenhouse gases during operation, such as carbon dioxide and methane.Galaxy Renewable Energy’s core business comprises the development, manufacture, sale and maintenance of wind technology that uses the energy of the wind to generate electricity.

GRE involved in the development of innovative technology for the utilization of sustainable and renewable energy sources. The company’s technology has been patented in the United States, Canada, India, China, Australia and New Zealand.

Galaxy specializes in consultancy, turn key projects, manufacture of wind turbines, setting up of wind farms from 250 KW to 1.2 MW.
